The monument at Pointe du Hoc in Normandy. The monument built on top of a German bunker honors the US Army Rangers who landed here on June 6, 1944. Under enemy fire the Rangers scaled the cliffs in order to take out German artilary that overlooked Utah Beach.
Le monument à la Pointe du Hoc en Normandie. Le monument construit au sommet d'un bunker allemand honneurs de la US Army Rangers, qui a atterri ici le 6 Juin 1944. Sous le feu ennemi les Rangers escaladent les falaises afin de prendre en artilary allemande qui donnait sur Utah Beach.
