I happened to find your state line sign web site. I was a little concerned whenyou said that you were the world's first self proclaimed expert in road welcomesign photography. I started about the same time. But after I looked over yoursite, I found that while I had welcome signs as a hobby while traveling, youhave taken it over the top as a passion. So, I guess I'll have to settle for beingthe 2nd self proclaimed welcome sign expert.
Good luck & I love your website.

I have been to 27 of the 50 states, with the goal to hit all 50, but haven't taken pictures at every welcome sign. (I did take them at some.) Now I have to go back to do it! Rats...I was hoping I'd never have to go to Alaska again!
I love your website and hope to see you on Leno or Letterman some day! :)

What fun you are having!
Wish I had thought of it! I scrapbook and am also into photography so naturally I take pix of the signs wherever we go, but sometimes, if you are on the interstate the traffic is so heavy it doesn't allow time to take a really good shot, so I appreciate yours.

PS: In re-reviewing your pix I noted that you were wearing a cowboy hat in your
Texas shot. I hate to tell you this, but you are going to have to start all over again and wear something apropros to each state...that should be a challenge!
Nice site. I came across it while I was looking for
some info on the Rhode Island State House, which I'll
be visiting this weekend.
I'm from PA, and in viewing your site, it appears you
and I have similar travel habits. I've visited 43
state capitol bldgs, and climbed 43 state highpoints.
I also have a list of about 210 presdidential sites
I'm working on. Right now, I have about 120 of those.
Anyway, good luck with your projects.

My son and I do road trips every year and I found your
web site because we drove by the WV state sign too
fast that I didn't get a photo of it. We have been all
over. We're trying to get to every major league ball
park. This summer we drove all the way from
Philadelphia to Memphis via WV and Kentucky. We did
all of Tennessee and came home via Atlanta (to see the
Braves) SC, NC, VA, MD, DE, PA!
I always try to take pictures of the state signs. My
son is 10 so he wont get out of the car on the
highways yet to take pictures with them like how I'd
like to.
Anyway, I just wanted to tell you that I enjoyed your
site.

Hey Roger,
I was just surfing the web and visited you're website. You have 7 poses for optimum welcome sign photography….
I attached some pictures that have been taken during my visit in the united states…
Maybe you can add this pose and make it eight…
Take care,
JP
